EdenTree Global Impact Bond Fund
Dedicated to sustainable investing
The EdenTree Global Impact Bond Fund seeks to deliver positive environmental and social impacts alongside a regular level of income through its investment in global fixed income securities.
The Fund aims to support a reduction in the level of greenhouse gas emissions caused by human activity by investing in bonds that provide sustainable solutions and engaging with the companies that issue them. It also aims to increase access to basic services for underserved communities by investing in bonds that contribute to social infrastructure, health and wellbeing and education and financial inclusion.
The Fund’s management team applies holistic analysis of the underlying debt issuers using the Fund’s proprietary impact assessment framework. This is combined with in-depth fundamental credit research and the EdenTree Standard – EdenTree’s sustainability framework that helps identify companies that are creating value for people, the planet and for investors.
The value of an investment and the income from it can fall as well as rise as a result of market and currency fluctuations, you may not get back the amount you originally invested.
Investing for a better tomorrow
The EdenTree Global Impact Bond Fund was launched in 2022 and is managed by David Katimbo-Mugwanya, EdenTree's Head of Fixed Income, and Michael Sheehan.
The Fund aims to invest at least 80% of its assets in publicly listed bonds or other fixed interest securities. These securities are selected in accordance with the Fund’s sustainability approach. The bonds may be labelled bonds (such as green, social and sustainability bonds) or non-labelled bonds issued by entities whose products or services contribute to the Fund’s sustainability themes, which are Social Infrastructure, Health & Wellbeing, Education & Financial Inclusion and Sustainable Solutions.
