The EdenTree UK Equity Opportunities Fund is an actively managed fund with a traditional growth-orientated stock-picking approach. We look to achieve long-term capital growth with an income over five years or more.
The Fund is overweight in small and mid-cap companies. We believe the structural mispricing in the small and mid-cap market provides significant opportunity for stock picking and that this mispricing will worsen with regulatory change.
A key aspect of the Fund's investment process involves running our own earnings forecasts. We also have high intensity contact through frequent company visits, including company meetings, calls, site visits and conferences.
The value of an investment and the income from it can fall as well as rise as a result of market and currency fluctuations, you may not get back the amount you originally invested. Selecting stocks due to our ethical criteria means that the choice of stocks is limited to a subset of the stock market and this could lead to greater volatility.

The EdenTree UK Equity Opportunities Fund was launched in 1999 and is managed by Chi-Chung Man and Greg Herbert. The Fund targets 50-60 stocks in the portfolio.
The Fund aims to invest in companies that have high margins, high returns on capital and strong cash flow conversion.
The Fund maintains an overweight position in mid and small-cap companies, which the management team believe offers scope for long-term outperformance.

Lead Fund Manager
Chi-Chung joined Edentree in 2016 and is the lead fund manager on the EdenTree UK Opportunities Fund. He started his career at Deloitte, is ACA qualified and a CFA Charterholder.
Greg Herbert
Head of UK Equities
Greg Herbert is Head of UK Equities at EdenTree. He joined the firm in 2022 and is the lead fund manager on the EdenTree Managed Income Fund and the EdenTree UK Equity Fund.
Over his career, Greg has managed pan-European, North American and global equity products. Greg holds an MSc in Investment Management from Bayes Business School at City University and a BA (Hons) in Modern Languages from Bristol University.
